This policy explains how Alpha Process Control srl (“we”, “us”) handles personal data on alphaproc.com and related sites. We are the data controller.

What we collect

  • Messages you send the assistant. When you use the “Ask ChatAPC” assistant, the questions you type are processed to generate an answer. Please do not include confidential or personal information.
  • Contact details you choose to provide (e.g. via a contact or demo request form): name, work email, company, and your message.
  • Technical data required to serve and secure the site (e.g. IP address in server/security logs).
  • Aggregate analytics, only if you accept: cookieless, privacy-friendly measurement of page views and referrers. No cross-site tracking.

How we use it & legal basis

  • To answer your questions and respond to enquiries — on the basis of your request and our legitimate interest in helping visitors.
  • To operate, secure, and improve the site — legitimate interest.
  • To measure traffic — only with your consent (you can decline analytics).

Cookies & local storage

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The assistant stores a small flag in your browser’s local storage to remember that you accepted its notice; this is strictly necessary for that feature. If analytics is enabled, it is cookieless and only runs after you accept. Bot protection (Cloudflare Turnstile), where used, does not rely on tracking cookies.

Service providers

  • Cloudflare — hosting, content delivery, security, and (if enabled) cookieless analytics.
  • Anthropic — powers the assistant’s answers. Your questions are sent to Anthropic’s API to generate a response.

These providers may process data outside the EU/EEA (e.g. the United States) under appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

Retention

We keep contact submissions only as long as needed to handle your request and for our records, and security logs for a limited period. We do not build long-term profiles of assistant conversations.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, object to or restrict processing, and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at info@alphaproc.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
